The earth's climate is a complex dynamic system. There is wide agreement among climate scientists that the earth's climate is warming and will warm continue to warm in coming decades. But local effects remain difficult to predict. Some places will warm more than others, and some places will warm sooner. Project BudBurst is a citizen science project that uses the dates when indicator plant species bud and flower to track warming on local scales.
